10 Days of Connection: Miami Story Exchange

What is a story exchange? This is an opportunity to exchange personal anecdotes with others and connect deeply. We’ll ask you to sit with a stranger, tell your story, then listen to theirs. We will reconvene as a group and each participant will retell their partner’s story in the first person. At the end of the program, you’ll have an opportunity to reflect on your experience and record your story in our Miami Stories Recording Booth (this is optional).
We will be sharing stories about Miami! Take a look at your photos (either physical copies or on your smartphone) and choose a photo that captures a Miami-specific story. During the workshop, you’ll be asked to share this photo and why it’s meaningful. Here are some prompts to guide you:
- Share a photo of a childhood memory in Miami
- Share a photo of when you first arrived in Miami
- Share a photo of your favorite place in Miami
- Share a photo that feels uniquely Miami
