Civic Season:
We the People Tour 2pm

The United States is a country founded by the people for the people, but who are the people? Throughout history, the answer to that question has changed. Join us for this civics and U.S. history themed program to learn how the government operates on a local, state and federal level and the role of the individual in each. We will investigate the history and relationship between these three governing bodies and how their operations impact our everyday life and community.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to share their perspectives and record their Miami Story. The Miami Stories oral history project collects stories about Miami’s past, present, and future.

ASL interpretation is available for this program. To request materials in accessible format, sign language interpreters, and/or any disability accommodation, please contact Hana Squires, Accessibility Coordinator, at accessibility@historymiami.org or call (305) 375-1621 at least two weeks in advance of your visit to initiate your request. TTY users may also call 711 (Florida Relay Service).
