Join HistoryMiami Resident Historian Dr. Paul George as he recounts the intriguing story behind Stiltsville, a series of colorful wooden houses built on the flats of Biscayne Bay inside Biscayne National Park. Known in the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s as a playground for the wealthy and well connected, Stiltsville was home to the infamous Crawfish Eddie’s and the Bikini Club. Discover how this once vivacious community dwindled down to the seven houses that remain today, as well as hear tales of nefarious gangsters, stunning graffiti, and fabulous parties as you cruise past the Cape Florida Lighthouse, Key Biscayne, and the City of Miami.
