Before you purchase: 

  • Visitors are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets.
  • Valid during regular operating hours (Hours & Admissions)
  • Galleries close at 5 p.m. and entry will not be allowed after 4:30 p.m. Please arrive with enough time to view all the exhibitions. 
  • EXCLUDES special events or programs (see Upcoming Events for ticket purchase)
  • Select discounts, coupons, and promotions are sold only on-site at Visitor Services.
  • Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month from 12pm to 5pm, with activities from 12pm to 4pm, for free things to do, learn, and experience with the whole family! Spend the afternoon exploring the history and culture of our vibrant city.

Guided Tour: Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida
11:00 am and 2:00 pm

Explore the history of South Florida on a tour of Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida. View highlights from the exhibition including Tequesta artifacts from the Miami Circle to a 1920s trolley. Facilitated by a Museum Educator, weekend highlights tours are included with museum admission and are available for groups of nine or less. Approximately 40-minutes.

ASL Interpretation will be available during the program.

Museum of Miami (formerly HistoryMiami Museum) is committed to providing inclusive experiences for all visitors and we are excited to welcome you at the museum for this special program series. Designed for families of children, teenagers, and young adults with disabilities who are neurodiverse, on the autism spectrum, or have sensory processing disorders or cognitive disabilities, Sensory Sundays provide a sensory inclusive experience during your visit to the Museum. Enjoy activities, and a touch tour of one of our exhibitions, or explore the museum at your own pace.

Spaces in the museum will have modified lighting and sound to support a sensory inclusive environment.

Admission to Sensory Sunday is FREE with required registration. Capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Freedom Plane National Tour: Documents that Forged a Nation is on view from June 20th - July 5th. 

Your museum admission includes FREE access to our special exhibition, Freedom Plane: Documents That Forged a Nation. Reserve an advanced ticket to guarantee your exhibition access on the day of your choosing.

Walk-up visitors are welcome, and same-day tickets are FREE and available on a first-come, first-served basis; however, admission is not guaranteed. Once exhibition capacity is reached, walk-up visitors will not be admitted.

VISITOR EXPECTATIONS:

  • Long Lines and Wait Times: Please expect long lines, including outdoor queuing, especially during peak times. Lines close at 4:30 P.M.
  • First-Come, First-Served: Entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with capacity limitations to ensure a safe experience.
  • Re-entry: Re-entry is not permitted for this exhibition.
  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive after 4:00 P.M., entry is not guaranteed, even with an advance or same-day ticket.
  • Time Limits: To accommodate as many visitors as possible, your time inside the exhibition will be limited to approximately 15 minutes.
  • Museum staff may adjust the entry flow as needed to ensure safe conditions and protect the artifacts on display.
  • Please review our Visitor and Group Guidelines to ensure a smooth experience during your visit. 
  • Tickets are non-refundable.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: 

To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit, please note the following guidelines.

  • Food & Drinks: No food or drinks, including water, are permitted inside the exhibition.
  • Bags: Only clear bags (max size: 12" x 6" x 12") are allowed. Non-clear bags, backpacks, luggage, and large purses are prohibited.
  • Personal Items: Wagons, oversized/jogging strollers, and large personal items are not allowed in the exhibition.
  • Animals: No pets or emotional support animals are permitted. Only service animals are allowed.
  • Prohibited Items: No firearms, weapons, or hazardous materials are allowed.
  • Photography & Filming: Flash photography, livestreaming, additional lighting, and selfie sticks are not permitted.  

Please note that discounts, promotions, and group sales reservations will not be available from June 20th to July 5th.
