Important Notice: Temporary Exhibition Closure

The Tropical Dreams: A People's History of South Florida exhibition will be temporarily closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday, August 25th to Tuesday, September 9th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to preserve and improve the visitor experience.

Please note the museum admission is free the second Saturday each month. Visit Upcoming Events to register for free Family Fun Day.

Before you purchase: 

  • Visitors are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets.
  • Valid during regular operating hours (Hours & Admissions)
  • Galleries close at 5 p.m. and entry will not be allowed after 4:30 p.m. Please arrive with enough time to view all the exhibitions. 
  • EXCLUDES special events or programs (see Upcoming Events for ticket purchase)
  • Select discounts, coupons, and promotions are sold only on-site at Visitor Services.
  • Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month from 10am to 5pm, with activities from 11am to 4pm, for free things to do, learn, and experience with the whole family! Spend the afternoon exploring the history and culture of our vibrant city.

Sensory Sunday

The Museum is committed to providing inclusive experiences for all visitors and we are excited to welcome you at the museum for this special program series. Designed for families of children, teenagers, and young adults with disabilities who are neurodiverse, on the autism spectrum, or have sensory processing disorders or cognitive disabilities, Sensory Sundays provide a sensory inclusive experience during your visit to the Museum. Enjoy activities, and a touch tour of one of our exhibitions, or explore the museum at your own pace.

Spaces in the museum will have modified lighting and sound to support a sensory inclusive environment.

Admission to Sensory Sunday is FREE with required registration. Capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
